Terms of Service
Last updated: 17 October 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Catering Community app, the Catering Community for Vendors app and the related services (together, the "Services"). By creating an account or using the Services you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. About Catering Community
Catering Community is an online marketplace that helps customers find catering and event services and connects them with vendors in the UAE. Customers can browse ads, post event requests on the community board, receive offers and contact vendors by chat, phone or WhatsApp. Vendors can post ads, answer requests and manage their businesses.
2. Catering Community is not a party to your booking
Catering Community is a platform that brings customers and vendors together. We do not sell, provide, prepare, deliver or set up any service, we do not take bookings, and we are not a party to any agreement between a customer and a vendor.
- Price, availability, menu, quality, food safety, delivery, setup, deposits, cancellations, refunds and payment are agreed directly between the customer and the vendor.
- Prices in ads and offers come from vendors and are for guidance only. Budget estimates in the app are approximate and are not an offer.
- Any dispute about a booking is between the customer and the vendor. You can report an ad or a user to us and we may act on our platform, but we do not decide the dispute or guarantee its outcome.
- No bookings or payments are made in the app.
3. Your account
- You must be 18 or older and able to enter into a binding contract under UAE law.
- You sign in with a mobile number that you confirm with a one-time code. Keep your phone and your codes secure: you are responsible for what happens on your account.
- Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
4. Customers
- Post requests for genuine events only, with accurate details such as the event date and number of guests. Requests are shown to verified vendors and expire after 14 days.
- Your name, area and mobile number are shared with the verified vendors who answer your requests or whom you contact.
- Confirm the service, its price, what's included and the vendor's terms (including deposits and cancellation) before you pay.
5. Vendors
- Only businesses with a valid UAE trade licence may register on Catering Community. Upload genuine documents and renew them before they expire. The Catering Community team reviews every business you add before it goes live.
- Your ads must be accurate: real services you can provide, with correct prices, capacity and preparation times, and photos and videos you have the right to use. New and edited ads may be reviewed before they appear.
- Deal with customers honestly and honour the offers you send for as long as you say they are valid.
- You alone are responsible for your services, prices, food safety and hygiene, deliveries, invoices and VAT, and for holding the permits and complying with the laws that apply to your business.
- Use customers' contact details only to deal with their request or enquiry, never for unrelated marketing, and handle them in line with the PDPL.
- Featuring and plans are offered on request. When you request one, our team contacts you to agree the terms and the payment outside the app, and it starts only once the Catering Community team approves it. Prices shown in the app are for information.
6. Prohibited content and conduct
You must not use the Services to:
- Post false, misleading or copied ads, or services that are illegal or unsafe in the UAE.
- Upload content you do not have the right to use, or that is offensive, discriminatory, threatening or indecent.
- Harass, spam, deceive or defraud other users, or ask them to pay outside a genuine booking.
- Share another person's personal data without their permission, or impersonate another person or business.
- Interfere with the Services: hacking, scraping, automated access or spreading malware.
- Break any UAE law, including the laws on consumer protection, commercial fraud, cybercrime and personal data.
7. Reports, review and suspension
- You can report an ad or a user in the app. We review reports and may hide content, ask for changes or contact the people involved.
- We may suspend or close a business or an account, hide or remove content, or refuse a registration if we reasonably believe these Terms or the law have been broken, if documents are invalid or expired, or to protect our users. Where we can, we will tell you why and how to resolve it.
- You can stop using the Services and delete your account at any time in the app's settings.
8. Content you share
You keep ownership of the content you upload: photos, descriptions, messages and documents. You give Catering Community a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display and process it to run and promote the Services, for as long as it is on Catering Community, and you confirm that you have the right to share it.
9. Catering Community's apps and content
The Catering Community name, logo, app design and software belong to Catering Community or its licensors. You may use the apps for their intended purpose only, and may not copy, modify or resell them.
10. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Services available but cannot promise they will always run without interruption or errors. We may change, add or remove features. We may also update these Terms: we will show the new date at the top and, for important changes, tell you in the app. Continuing to use the Services after a change means you accept it.
11. Limitation of liability
- The Services are provided "as is". Catering Community does not guarantee any service, vendor, customer, offer or booking, or the accuracy of content posted by users.
- As far as the law allows, Catering Community is not liable for losses arising from dealings between customers and vendors, or for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, data or business.
- Where the law does not allow liability to be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the amounts you paid Catering Community, if any, in the twelve months before the event that gave rise to the claim.
- Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under UAE law, including for fraud or gross negligence.
- You agree to compensate Catering Community for claims and losses caused by your breach of these Terms or of the law.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai. The courts of Dubai have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or the Services. Before going to court, please contact us so we can try to settle the matter amicably.
13. Privacy
How we handle personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
14. Language
These Terms are available in Arabic and English. If the two versions differ, the Arabic version prevails.
